Gardening Tools
Felco has many styles of hand pruners to choose from including
an inexpensive choice for beginner gardeners and ones for
the “Lefties” out
there. The two main grip types are the #8 and #11 and of
course a favorite, the # 7 with the rotating handle. |

Complete
lots of garden jobs with just one tool, the Soil
Scoop, by
Garden Works. Our staff uses it to dig holes
for 4”,
1gl. even 5gl. plants. Score the roots with the serrated
edge, make trenches for 1⁄2” irrigation, score
the ground for 1⁄4” drip irrigation, and cover.
Because it’s
stainless steel, it makes for easy cleanup. The “Soil
Scoop” makes a great applicator for our favorite fertilizer
(Gro-Power). |

Tierra has lots of tools for lots of different jobs around the old
homestead. Use their Scoop for scooping fertilizer or the Bulb
Spade, with depth markings, for planting bulbs. A Hand Fork
for tilling the veggie bed. Even a Hand Hoe for weeding those
hard to reach, back behind places that a long handle hoe is
just too long for.

Giraffe
Not
the four legged kind, but it does have a long neck. A
1’,
3’, 5’, or 7’ long neck to accomplish
tall work around the yard without you ever leaving the
ground.
You can even pick fruit way up at the top of the tree.

“WEED-OUT” by
Backer Mfg. Co.
You use
it to get those itsy–bitsy weeds in those teeny-weeny
places that your fingers can’t reach! It’s great
for cactus collectors who still have tender fingers, and bonsai
enthusiasts with that one pesky little weed that is in that
hard-to-reach place!
