In July of 1996 the Andersen Family decided to take on the biggest project we have ever done as a company. We decided to expand. After searching for months to find a location that would meet our needs we put an offer in on a parcel of property in the Poway Business Park in the city of Poway.

From the start, the project presented us with numerous challenges. It took the skills of every family member to bring the project to fruition. After many trials, tribulations, construction delays, and even a few arguments, the store was completed and opened on June 20, 1998.

Walter Andersen Nursery-Poway is state of the art in retail nurseries in San Diego. Our Poway location stocks the same extensive variety of trees and shrubs as well as garden ornaments, statues, pots, chemicals, fertilizers and soil amendments and much, much more. Serving the Scripps Ranch, Poway, Rancho Peñasquitos, Ramona, Lakeside, and Ranch Bernardo Communities our Poway store has no equal on the Interstate 15 corridor.

The major thing that the Poway Store has that our Point Loma Store does not is abundant parking! Since we were able to plan the store from the ground up we made sure we left plenty of room for you, our customers.
